Introducing the Friends of Willowdale
Welcome to Willowdale Residential care Home. The Friends of Willowdale (FOW) is a group that is open to all relatives or friends of those who reside in Willowdale Care Home. The team, which is elected in May every year, is constituted and financially independent from the home.
The task of the committee is to work with the home’s management to raise local awareness of Willowdale, and to organise additional activities that should support and promote the well being of the residents. These goals are achieved by hands on help when required, via fundraising, and the receipt of grants and donations from various sources. The application of these funds is used to carry out events organised for the residents of Willowdale.
The constitution does not allow us to enhance the building or accommodation in any way that will increase the value of the property, or provide items for singular use by the residents i.e. items of furniture etc.
Friends of Willowdale are always looking for supporters.
Volunteers are urgently needed for us to continue and achieve our aims. If you have a field of expertise or contacts, or wish to become a committee member please do not hesitate to contact us. Everyone is welcome.
